What’s On The Menu?
Throughout the week, our lunch menu changes depending on the type of food that has been donated. You will normally find a seleciton of sandwiches, toasties, a hot main, soup or quiche on offer. Our Pay What You Can policy is in action on Wednesday to Friday.
We aim to have vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free options available every day.
Outside lunchtime we have cakes, pastries and scones as well as a small selection of breakfast items such as porridge or egg rolls up to 11.00.
Welcoming Solo Visitors and Large Groups Alike
We have a range of seating options whatever the purpose of your visit. If you’re in for a quick working lunch we have table seating arranged over three levels. Large group? You can reserve one of our top areas with a long table to share. If relaxed morning coffee is more your style there are comfy sofas and low tables to lounge at and take your time. Our bench seating is a great option for solo visitors.
Do I need to book ahead?
For private hire of an area, please do contact us to book in advance. We welcome table bookings for all guests however we have plenty of seating so most of the time it is not necessary.
Family Friendly Café
We know how important it is to keep younger visitors entertained in cafés which why we have a children’s area well stocked with a range of toys to keep our younger visitors entertained during your visit. As well as offering half portions from our daily specials we have a separate menu with some firm favourites and light bites.
The Balcony
Last but not least.... Tucked away at the back of the café you will discover our beautiful sunny balcony. A tranquil decked area where we grow the herbs for our kitchen alongside seasonal plants. It has picturesque views over the Gala Water and is surrounded by native trees and the sound of the river. The tables here are always very popular as it’s the perfect place for an iced latte and a spot of lunch on a nice day.
