As a not-for-profit organisation the role of volunteers is hugely important to maintain and grow the venture. It helps us run the café efficiently and continue to offer our diverse services with a limited budget and to provide meaningful work experience for members of the community.

Volunteering opportunities are available in all aspects of the project. Get involved by helping with supermarket collections, baking and preserving, food preparation and service, welcoming customers, barista skills, evening events and outside catering to name but a few.

There's a huge range of skills needed to run the cafe from day to day. Follow your strengths, or try something completely new. From hospitality, to marketing, driving, or cooking and menu creation.

Pay It Forward
Want to support us? Live too far away to visit us in person? Are you a company looking for a philanthropic cause to support? How about buying someone a meal token for our café?
£8 will buy a token for a meal and hot drink off our menu.
Our Meal Tokens are not means tested and are available on a pin board at the entrance to the café. Tokens can be purchased online and in the café. We also donate some to local charities and organisations for them to distribute to their service users as they see fit. Meal Tokens can be used by anyone in the community who feels they need it.
